Revolutionize Your Workflow: Discover How AI Can Empower the Modern “No-Code” Knowledge Worker 🤖

Imagine being able to easily remember everything discussed in a meeting.

Or create a summary of a long essay with just a click.

Or edit a lengthy email in the blink of an eye.

In the past, only those who knew how to code had access to an army of robots. But now, you have that power too.

Today, we will cover 3 free AI tools.

  1. Notion
  2. Otter.ai
  3. Chat GPT

In a previous article, I discussed the personal information system I started using after reading Tiago Forte’s book, “Building a Second Brain“. Forte introduced me to a free application called Notion, which allows you to store all your notes in an organized and searchable manner. Notion recently introduced its “ASK AI” feature. It is impressive. After highlighting your text, you can click “ask AI” to receive a series of prompts such as “make shorter,” “simplify language,” or “change tone,” among others. It then gives you the option to replace your original text with the rewritten version, which you can quickly review to make any final changes you desire.

Recently, I experimented with otter.ai, an AI tool that generates transcripts. For instance, if you want to convert the audio from an educational YouTube video into written text, you can play the video and run otter.ai in the background. It will transcribe the audio for you. During a meeting, you can run it and paste the transcript under your notes in Notion. This way, if you need to remember details that were not in your original notes, you can find them there.

Finally, you can use Chat GPT as a tool. It may have biases, but you can use it to improve your writing instead of relying on it completely. For instance, if you are writing an essay, you can ask it to suggest three different headlines, and then you can choose the best one from those suggestions.

Technology can be like a bicycle for your mind, taking you to your destination faster than walking. When deployed well, these free tools can help you get there.
