A few months ago I found out my wife and I were expecting a baby.

Ever since I found out I have been thinking more about those lines from Shakespeare.

We don’t know when we will enter or exit the stage. To play many parts is to evolve and is something everyone must do. The only thing in our control is to do your very best in your role, with the time given to you.

We can tell when an athlete didn’t do their best to prepare for a fight because it is on display. The realization I have come to is that every day has its own miniature off-season and competition. We won’t always win, but with intention and good habits, the deck will be stacked in our favor.

Here’s to a new role 🥂. And I am now open to all parenting resource recommendations.
