Growth on Demand

Growth

โ€œWe know very little about self-development but do we do know one thing: People in general, and knowledge workers in particular, grow according to the demands they make on themselves. They grow according to what they consider to be achievement and attainment. If they demand little of themselves, they will remain stunted. If they demand a good deal of themselves, they will grow to giant stature – without any more effort than is expended by non-achievers.โ€ – Peter Drucker, The Effective Executiveย

This seems to be a rule of nature. A plant tends to grow bigger once it is in a bigger pot. A turtleโ€™s shell will expand if it is moved from a cage into a pond.ย

The question becomes, what demands will you and Iย  put on ourselves? What goals will I set this quarter in order to grow?ย
