One Idea I’ve been chewing on: What type of “team player” are you?
What type of team player are you?
What is life but a long journey to get to know yourself?
Well, I started to realize something about myself lately. In many workplaces, we talk about the importance of teamwork.
But teams function in different ways.
There are teams where you are constantly passing back and forth (soccer, hockey, basketball), teams where you work together but many times need to execute your individual job alone (baseball, football), and there are teams where you need to perform independently for the greater good of the team (crew, track, wrestling, etc.).
Do you consider yourself a team player? What “type” of team do you prefer?
Closing out the old year and starting new.
To close out the year this December I did a few things you might find useful:
- Go through your calendar, and make a list of “highs” and “lows”. For things that gave you the most joy, try to schedule them now. For things that were a low point, how can you avoid it this year?
- Make an album on your phone with the 100 best photos/videos from the year.
- Write down any wins you or your family had this year…fun conversation for the dinner table!
- Get light – take some time to clean up your closet, desk, car, inbox, etc. Anywhere there is clutter.
To start the new year something I found useful to consider is, “What season am I in?”

In Case You Missed It
Earlier this month I wrote about what I learned interviewing for a new job, my Q4 reading list, and my 5 favorite books from 2025.
Wishing you all a prosperous 2025!
