How I Do Simple Quarterly Reviews (3 questions & 1 Activity)

Over the years I’ve refined my goal setting process.

A critical component to setting the course for the next few months, is reflecting on where I’ve been.

So now every quarter before I set goals I ask myself 3 questions:

(Note: it is helpful to have your calendar & the previous quarters’ goals handy)

  1. What went well the last 3 months?
  2. What didn’t go well the last 3 months?
  3. What am I excited about?

Then I do one fun activity:

  • Go through my photos and make a “favorites” album from that quarter.

If you only do one thing I recommend making a favorites photo album, then using that to make a more refined one at the end of each year. It is fun to look back on and makes it easier to look back and find your favorite memories. (Unfortunately, I didn’t start doing this until my son was born. I wish I started sooner.)
